Last week in class we discussed three case studies and the one that I chose to to talk about today was Apple because Apple is a well known product and it is most famous for its Ipods. One thing that I found interesting about Apple was its founder in the 90's, his name is Steve Jobs. His story is amazing to me when it come to the money he has made. In class it was brought up that Apple was not doing to well when it first came out and I believe that it was said that Jobs left Apple for a while and began on a new venture called Pixar. Steve
co-founded and was the CEO of Pixar Animation Studios, which created some of the most successful and beloved animated films of all time including Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars and Ratatouille. Pixar merged with The Walt Disney Company in 2006 and Steve now serves on Disney's board of director.Steve eventually went back to Apple and Apple is really successful today. Steve Jobs life story is amazing and should be cherished because thanks to him people enjoy great movies, endless music, and reliable computers.
In the book there was a question that asked
Can Apple maintain their dominance?I think that they can, I think this because Apple continues to bring out new produces like the Ipad and more Ipods which people are crazy about. people want to continue to buy Apple products because of their reliability and there are so many options to choose from and that is what people like. People love to have options because they dont want to feel restricted and with Apple you dont feel that way. What I thought was interesting about Apple and its competition is Smart phones, Smart phones are very high tech and the reason for people buying Apple products is because of the Ipod. But with Smart phones there are already Mp3 players in them. this can eventually become a huge problem for Apple because people dont need to carry an ipod and their phone they can just carry their phone and still have their endless music.
